Yet here I am, sitting down to write about perfection, and it's true, in my garden and my life there are many things which are not quite "right", things that are imperfect, things I wish I could change. It is these things which contribute to the imperfection of my life and yet I still feel as though my life is pretty perfect. I guess in reality, at least for me, perfect isn't really perfect.
I guess one must realize that we don't need perfection to be happy. The whole of a garden may not be perfect but if you are happy with it's overall look and feel then you can be happy with it and that is all that matters. For instance, my garden features a small succulent bed which requires almost no maintenance and is essentially weed free and a stones throw away, there is an old vegetable patch which has been left to fend for itself for a few years and has weeds taller than me.
So there are near perfect aspects and others which are far from. Yet, I am happy with my garden, and that goes to show you don't need much perfection to be happy, and that's all that really matters. Is that you're happy. After all, if everything was perfect, where would we go from there!!
I am simply a gardener who loves plants, nature, writing, photography, art and all things rustic, vintage and unique. Leave a comment or connect with me on Twitter! I'd love to hear from you!
